Join the Commander on Martha’s Vineyard for the grand Illumination & More!

GBH Commander Joe Frawley and Mary invite USPS members to Martha’s Vineyard for the island’s annual summer festival. The events are:
- August 14 • Grand Illumination • An annual tradition, the gingerbread cottages in the Camp Ground are festooned with colorful lanterns that are illuminated all at once after sunset. Dating from the turn of the 19th century, Illumination is a crowd pleasing event that attracts visitors from all over. The evening begins at the Tabernacle with a sing-along starting around 7:30 p.m; lanterns are lit at dark.

August 15 • Dinner & Drinks • After a day at the beach or sailing the Vineyard waters, please join Joe & Mary for drinks and dinner. There will be no need to bring anything. Menu to follow. The party starts at 1600. Details on the flyer (below). PLEASE R.S.V.P. commander@abc-gbh.org
- August 16 • Oak Bluffs Fireworks • Oak Bluffs Fireworks at dusk at Ocean Park. Hosted by Oak Bluffs Fireman’s Civic Association. Band performance starts at 8 p.m. and fireworks will light up the sky around 9 p.m.
