GBH Boat Talk & Dinner

Welcome Ali Wisch

Thursday, September  13

Ali Wisch is a writer, editor and sailor currently living aboard her boat, working as an independent contractor on boats in Boston Harbor and crewing on boat deliveries. She is best known for her work as managing editor of Sail Magazine, Multihull Sailor and New Boats and Gear, writing features and product reviews. She is also a blogger for the Huffington Post and a published playwright, poet and photographer.

Her love for boats started early, escalating rapidly over the last six years.

With numerous certifications from ASA and the Offshore Sailing School, yacht deliveries from Tortola to Newport, Boston to the Exumas, and extensive east coast cruising as well as five years as a live-aboard, she has extensive experience with life and leisure on the water.

Due to a couple of near death experiences, she always looks for an opportunity to contribute to the topic of safety and survival at sea.
